Q) What’s changing at the Practice from Monday 23rd March 2015?
A) Patients won’t be able to book themselves in for an appointment on the day anymore. Instead if you feel as if it can’t wait and must be dealt with today then you will need to ring in and be put onto Duty Doctor’s list, who will then assess and clinically decide what you need. So they will decide if you need to be seen and if so by whom and when and if you do need to be seen immediately then Duty Doctor will give you an appointment, which may well be ‘on the day’. Appointments will be held back for Duty Doctor to use, which is what happens now anyway. We are aware that it’s a big change to what you are used to, but it will now make it fair to everyone that a GP will now decide if you clinically need to be seen immediately and by whom.

The PPG are not there for anything that is in the nature of a complaint, these should be sent to the practice in the normal way please.
