Following on from last weeks update on Patient Services Staff recruitment we can also announce the recruitment this week of a new Apprentice. Our new Apprentice will start with us in 2 weeks and will support and train with the Admin and Medical Secretary departments. Our 6 new Patient Services Staff have had a great first week and many of you will have met some of them at the front desks. The Patient Services Staff normally take around 3 weeks to go through our Induction Training Programme.
We can confirm we are still looking for a buyer for the site. We do have several interested buyers and 3 we count as serious at this time. But like with any sale of a property it could change good or bad over night, with buyers pulling out or more buyers becoming counted as serious that have viewed and enquired.
Please also view our website page called “Your Health & Mind” to find out more about an inspirational lady that is starting a new support group for ME, this is also sometimes referred to as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, as well as severe exhaustion it affects people in various ways including pain, cognitive issues & even insomnia. So if you have ME, Fibromyalgia, Lymes, any other chronic illness that means you deal with exhaustion or even just undiagnosed fatigue please join the new Facebook Support Group called “Tired of Being Tired”. We are going to be working with the new support group and have offered them tea, coffee and biscuits and a chance to meet at our King Hill Medical Centre.
Turn the Tides on Plastics, we are very interested in the national campaign to reduce the use of plastics. Last week we invited staff to make suggestions on ways we can reduce or remove plastics from the office and look at other sources to replace. We are interested to hear of any other local campaigns on this subject via our PPG.
If anyone else has any other local support groups that you would like us to add to our website and information to put up in our waiting areas please let our PPG know on firstname.lastname@example.org they can then collect information and pass to us at our next meeting in February.
