Clinical System Upgrade - Feb 2021
We are changing our clinical system in February 2021. We are changing from Vision to EMIS web. This upgrade will bring additional benefits to both patients and the practice, including easy compatibility with the NHS app and faster updating with vaccine information.
What Will Happen
Prescriptions - order repeat medications early
Repeat rquests due between 16th February and 3rd Mardch must be requested by 10th February as we will not be able to process repeats from then until 3rd March.
Online Patient Services
Existing Online Access for repeat prescriptions etc will cease on the 12th February. Patients will need to reapply via the NHS App. Search NHS on google store or App store
System Shut Down
On 16th February our current clinical system will be turned off to allow for the final extraction of data to EMIS web. During this time we will have no access to any clincial system and we will offer only a limited "emergency" service. We will only be issuing urgent prescriptions. Urgent essential appointments will continue
Limited Services from Tuesday 16th February to Thursday 25th February
We will have no access to a live clinical system and there will be intermittent disruption. Routine non-urgent services will be limited during this time, urgent appointments will continue. We will only be issuing essential urgent prescriptions. We will not be able to register any new patients until after the go live date.
Go Live Day: Thursday 25th February & Friday 26ht February
We will have access to the new clinical system, however routine non-urgent services will be limited to allow for essential preparations and staff training.. Urgent essential appointments will continue
For the first few weeks after the upgrade despite training and preparation, there will inevitably be a period of adjustment which will likely result in some services taking slightly longer than normal. Please be patient with us as we get to grips with the new system.
